Is this the end of the line for “Bones”? David Boreanaz, Booth to “Bones” fans, sent out a few cryptic messages about the possible end of the popular Fox series.
STORY: Bones Renewed for Eighth Season
While he never said officially that “Bones” is ending, Boreanaz took to Twitter and said he was a “free agent” after this season, and that the “Bones” farewell tour was kicking off at San Diego Comic-Con.

“Bones” boss Hart Hanson has been mum on Twitter since May 2012 and series star Emily Deschanel has not commented on the matter.
SDCC 2012 shld be a blast and quite possibly the last for #Bones ? Farewell tour? Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Fox gave “Bones” an early renewal for Season 8 in March 2012.
“Over the past seven seasons, Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and the incredible ‘Bones’ cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility and I’m really happy to have this distinctive, fan-favorite on our schedule for another season,” Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment at Fox, said in a statement in March.
A request for comment from Fox regarding Boreanaz’s tweets was not immediately answered.
